CHAMPIONS

The Men’s first team won the league with an excellent record of played 22; won 18; drawn 2; lost 2. More importantly they scored a staggering 142 goals and conceded 42 to give a goal difference of exactly 100. In the end, it came to goal difference with London Wayfarers only achieving an 80 goal difference!!! They pushed us all the way and deserve promotion and we wish them good luck in the play offs.

22 players were used in the season and made this victory a reality, with exhilarating performances and some tremendous fight backs, particularly against Barnes, where we were 2-1 down with 15 minutes left and to draw against Woking where we were 3-5 down with 7 minutes left.

The short corner battery was a threat on every occasion and both Seb Malti (26 goals) and Marc Spitzer (21 goals) produced the goods when given the chance.

Player of the season, Dave Sellick kept the midfield moving smoothly and Trid got the occasional 44 goals to take the leading goal scorer award.

Evening of Promises Raise over £3,000

Wow – what a fund raiser. Arguments will be had over how ethical it is to auction off ones sister, how much flesh Spitz will show in his ‘gun’ show and whether Brian really does have a secretary – let alone one who can afford to keep up with Laurence.

Special thanks for the guys who donated their time, efforts and money to name but a few: -

Andrew Burton for the Barbarian V’s England tickets and England memorabilia - www.mikeburton.com

Charlie for the Hockey Stick and Shirts – www.sportsremedies.com

Brett and his wife for an awesome Saffa hamper - www.thesavanna.co.uk

Johnny Bad  for the Whitley Neill Gin - www.whitleyneill.com

Richard Holliday and his wife for what is set to be an awesome evening for Annie who narrowly beat Trid.

Biggest bidder has to go to Laurence who not only decided to pay an extra £90 to make his donation a round £700 – but also threw one of his prizes back into the ring so Bibani could have his dream date with the ladies 3’s - - - good work.

Thanks again to all those involved, very much appreciated.
